An incredible public art project, “Dominoes,” was brought to the Toronto waterfront by the Bentway on September 22, from 1 to 5 pm. Situated beneath Toronto’s Gardiner Expressway, the Bentway is a dynamic public space that aims to enhance community engagement and the use of urban spaces.

Powered by sponsor Choice Properties, this larger-than-life sculpture spans multiple neighborhoods, featuring a 2.5 km trail of giant dominoes that unites neighbors in a shared experience. The project, as Toronto’s largest and most exciting public art projects, involved coordination across various city departments, including 300 volunteers, police, and public space coordinators. As everyone followed the domino chain, a sense of unity and connection emerged. This unique, in-person experience will become a cherished memory for the city.
